The Oni 1001HM features seam construction and top stitch detailing done using a solitary vintage single needle sewing machine in place of the various sewing machines commonly used in denim jeans production such as double-needle lap seamer, chain stitch, or bar tack machines.

The front and back center seams and back yoke seams are all french felled and single needle sewn, this is a more tedious method requiring the denim to be folded by hand and closed with several passes of the sewing machine as opposed to the traditional one-step process using a double-needle lap seamer that folds and double stitches the seams closed simultaneously.

Belt loops and rear pockets are single needle stitched at points of strain and the leg opening is also folded and single needle stitched. More information
