New - Pure Blue Japan XX-012 Deep Indigo

The Pure Blue Japan XX-012, three years in the planning, have arrived. Cut from the same pattern as our XX-013 Mid Rise Slim Tapered Leg jeans and using PBJ's original Deep Indigo 14oz slubby Japanese selvage denim - a 100% indigo woven denim, not overdyed. The most common indigo denims are a combination of vertical indigo dyed (warp) threads and horizontal undyed or white (weft) yarns. The Deep Indigo denim however uses an indigo dyed warp and indigo dyed weft to create a solid blue indigo jean.  Prior to weaving, the threads and yarns are rope dyed so the indigo does not fully penetrate the fibers leaving the cores to remain undyed. This allows for contrast fading similar to that of traditional blue jeans but with a unique blue overcast.
